Rufus is a utility that helps you format and create bootable USB drives, such as USB keys/flash drives, memory cards, etc.
It can be especially useful in cases where:
you need to create an installation USB from bootable ISO images (Windows, Linux, UEFI, etc.)
you need to work on a system that does not have an OS installed
you need to flash the BIOS or another firmware from DOS
